Modern exterior utilising local Otago stone and southern New Zealand timber built in 2007 and 2008. Overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the picturesque mountains surrounding.

The large lobby is styled as an alpine lodge with exposed beams and stone walls, leading form the lobby is the lounge with plenty of very nice seating, sofas and lounge chairs. A large painting of the properties namesake Mr William Rees dominates one wall. A floor to ceiling panoramic window takes up the entire end of the lounge area.

The Rees is located in Queenstown on the Lakefront edge of Lake Wakatipu. It's positioned so it has breathtaking views of the lake and of the Remarkable range of mountains. Queenstown offers an exhilarating year round alpine holiday destination on and off the snow. It is less than 2 km to Queenstown shopping and restaurant area and its only 4 kms away from Queenstown airport.

Brand new stylish state of the art rooms. All rooms have an uninterrupted view of the Remarkable's mountain range and the lake from the balconies. Rooms are a minimum of 32 Sq metres, some are as large as 42 square metres.The bathrooms are beautifully decorated with European fittings and have separate shower and bathtub. LCD tv's are standard with a large choice of channels plus over 100 pay movies, broadband internet access is also via the television. Furniture is custom built by a local company and is a real feature of the hotel.
